Our Wine Expert has collected and consumed wine for over 40 years. He first set up and ran the Wine department at Phillips in 1974. After leaving Phillips he worked at Sotheby's from 1978-2007 as a General Valuer and Auctioneer, first in Toronto (1979-1983) and then in Harrogate (1983-2007). During his time in Harrogate, he spent time doing inventories, valuations, wine tastings and lunches as well as being a specialist and Regional Director in the Silver Department. For the past decade, he spent his time as a consultant, organising and taking wine auctions for a local firm of Harrogate Auctioneers where his final sale achieved 'white glove' status.
