When seeking the best automotive price, the amount received at one recent auction may be an inspiration.
News that a Bugatti Veyron motor has been purchased for £625,000 might impress anyone on the lookout for automotive appraisals.
The car was flogged at British Car Auction's (BCA) Fast & Furious sale, which saw a number of high-performance models go under the hammer.
About 400 sports cars, motorcycles and convertibles comprised part of the auction, giving motor enthusiasts the opportunity to feast their eyes on some dazzling editions.
BCA noted that the price accrued for the Veyron was a record UK value for a modern production vehicle.
As well as the huge sum achieved for the car, the auction in Blackbushe also saw two Ferrari F430 F1 models sell for £69,500 and £71,000.
In addition, a Porsche 911 Carrera 997 4S was picked up for £40,000.
Elsewhere, RM Auctions recently announced that it will put the only remaining 007 Aston Martin DB5 movie car up for grabs at Battersea Evolution in London.
