One garment has achieved a high value at auction - potentially impressing those seeking fashion appraisals.
A dress belonging to Diana, Princess of Wales, has sold at auction for £192,000.
The black gown was estimated to generate £50,000, meaning the eventual price may inspire those looking to achieve the best clothes and accessories value.
It was put up for grabs by Kerry Taylor Auctions - based in central London - and was picked up by a Chilean museum.
The item was worn for the Princess's first public engagement with Prince Charles in 1981.
Kerry Taylor, the auctioneer in charge of the sale, said that the dress was "sold together with an original copy of the invoice, fashion sketches and contemporary photographs of her wearing it".
News of the high clothes valuation arguably underlies the enduring iconic appeal of Lady Diana, 13 years after her passing.
Elsewhere, anyone keen to value their antique paintings might want to head to the Spencer family auction through Christie's - scheduled for July 6th and the 8th.
