The classic car is one of 500 ever made.
Motoring enthusiasts may like to head to Stourbridge this week as a classic car - one of just 500 ever made - has been valued and is being put under the hammer at Fieldings Auctioneers. The sale is getting underway on May 8th, with the Jensen 451from 1956 raring to go, the Stourbridge News reports.
Andrew Mayall of the auction house discovered the motor, hidden under boxes and bin bags in a garage.
"The Jensen 451 became an iconic piece of British engineering,"he said, adding that it was the first automobile in production to come with polyester-resin body panels and all-round disc brakes.
It is thought that - if in perfect condition - the model could go for £30,000, although it is expected to fetch £5,000 even when in need of some TLC. Over in the US, a similar event took place on May 2nd, with ConnecticutPlus.com reporting that antique motorcycles were to be sold off as part of the 36th Annual Gateway Antique Auto Club Auto Show.
