Those seeking value for money at their next auction visit might be interested in the story of one unique item.
Auction fans seeking pop and film memorabilia valuations might be aware that a set of X-ray images of Marilyn Monroe's chest have sold for $45,000 (just under £30,000). The items date back to 1954 when the star visited hospital and were sold at the Hollywood Legends auction in Las Vegas through Julien's Auctions.
In addition, the organizers had previously believed the items would sell for approximately $3,000. The sale also saw a chair from Monroe's final photo shoot find anew owner for a price of $35,000. Elsewhere, film fanatics might be interested to learn that earrings worn by Kate Wins let fetched $25,000 and an Audrey Hepburn dress from the Funny Face musical accrued $56,250.
Also, those with their eye on pop and film memorabilia appraisals might have noted that a caricature made by John Lennonand Yoko Ono during their 1969 bed-in was recently sold for morethan £37,000.
