One piece of musical history has been sold for a high price.
Those with an interest in pop and film memorabilia valuations might have noted that a Swarovski globe belonging to the late Michael Jackson has been sold at auction for $190,000(£126,000). Julien's Auctions hosted the bidding in Las Vegas, where athrong of would-be purchasers from around the world sought to get their hands on the item. In the end, the rarity was secured by Wanda Kelley of LosAngeles, who claimed she would have paid even more for the memorabilia.
The glove was worn in the 1984 Victory Tour and is encrusted with crystals. Furthermore, a series of other collectibles relating to the King of Pop comprised part of the sale. For instance, a pair of loafers belonging to Jackson accrued a price of $90,000, despite a pre-auction estimate of $3,000. Elsewhere, those looking for pop and film memorabilia valuations might also have noted that John Lennon's handwritten for the song A Day In The Life were recently sold for £810,000 at Sotheby'sin New York.
