The black Emanuel evening dress worn by the princess when she was 19 is expected to fetch £50,000.
An evening gown worn by the teenage Princess of Wales has been valued and is to go under the hammer in June, expected to fetch£50,000. It is one of a number of lots being sold off by designers Davidand Elizabeth Emanuel and was worn by the 19-year-old for her first official appearance with Prince Charles.
Included in the collection is a chiffon blouse chosen by the royal-in-waiting for her engagement portrait, which has been given an estimated price of between £10,000 and £15,000.
Kerry Taylor Auctions is hosting the event - taking place on the 8th of the month - and Ms Taylor was quoted by the Daily Mail
assaying: "[This] records the emergence and transformation of LadyDiana Spencer to the style icon we know today."
It comes after a pair of Queen Victoria's hand-stitched, black and white stockings was bought for £690 at Lyon & Turnbullauctioneers.
