One Martin Kippenberger piece may have grabbed the attention of anyone after antique paintings.
Anyone looking to sell an antique painting this year might want to take note of the upcoming sale of a Martin Kippenberger artwork through Christie's.
The auction house has estimated an oil-on-canvas picture from 1988 at between £400,000 and £600,000.
It will form part of the Post War and Contemporary Art Day Auction in London on July 1st and may attract the attention of those seeking art valuations.
Kippenberger's Untitled features figurative brushstrokes and an abstract feel.
The painting is thought to have been influenced by the artist's period living in Spain, where he was inspired by his time in the homeland of Pablo Picasso.
Arguably, the piece presents a stirring sight for art lovers, as Christie's describes the image as having "kaleidoscopic areas of mingled, almost marbled oils".
The auction house is also organizing a sale of 19th century paintings, drawings and water colours in London on July 6th and 7th.
