Art valuations could include assessments on the worth of Scottish contemporary works.
When looking for art valuations, the story of a painting and two prints uncovered in a garage could be noted by collectors.
According to STV, the work of 20th century Scottish artist Stewart Bowman Johnson is becoming increasingly popular on the antiques circuit.
One expert, Anita Manning, is quoted by the site as saying that such items could accrue a high price if put up for sale.
Commenting on a painting entitled The Dying Swan, she said: "This type of picture has become very popular in today's market."
The piece was discovered by Millie McClelland, who, after hearing about its potential value, intends to hang it in her living room.
Ms Manning added that bidders are moving away from the traditionally strong demand for Victorian works.
Instead, they are "looking to more contemporary Scottish artists".
Those seeking art valuations may have noted Sotheby's is set to host an event called Beyond Limits at Chats worth House later this year, featuring large-scale sculptures.
