The sale at Christie's auction house generated almost £600,000 and included letters, diary entries and a cigar belonging to the former British Prime Minister.
One of the items was a correspondence between Churchill and Eliot Crawshaw-Williams in which the latter suggested peace terms should be agreed with Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.
The famous UK leader of World War Two replied: "I am ashamed of you for writing such a letter. I return it to you - to burn and forget."
Furthermore, the unsmoked Havana cigar fetched a sum of £2,125.
